At the Commission's stand, the current research and policy activities of DGs Information Society, Research, Mobility and Transport and of the European GNSS Agency will be displayed. Topics on show will include the latest developments in cooperative systems and eCall, the Green Cars Initiative, the ITS Action Plan and GNSS.

Within NDW various authorities are working closely together towards developing a database for road traffic data and towards the effective deployment of this data for traffic management and traffic information. The Electronic Systems group of the Technical University Eindhoven provided SPITS video processing with learning neural networks for traffic sign recognition and positioned dynamic information overlays on life video streams. The System Architectures & Networks group and Dynamics & Control group provided subsystems for SPITS Car2Car and Car2Infra communication and control.
